About the Event

Find total rest and relaxation as we explore the use of yoga nidra to find peace and maybe make changes in our lives. You may be seeking a short escape from the stress of modern living or maybe have a desire to sleep better, cope with anxiety or change the learnt automated responses of a lifetime. Yoga nidra can supply the tools to not only relax but also to reprogram ourselves to shed deeply ingrained patterns of behaviour. So whatever draws you, there will be some nidra magic here for you.

This session at the beginning of June will draw on the new Strawberry moon's influence. At this time everything around us in nature is ripening & peaking and there can be found a certain summer sweetness in life. We will focus on really noticing and engaging with this feeling, opening our minds and casting light on aspirations we may not even have known we had. We start with some scene setting and thoughts to take with us into the nidra and beyond, and then we will enjoy a 40-ish minute yoga nidra practice, leaving you fully rested and restored.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a physical practice. No previous yoga or yoga nidra experience needed. All are welcome.

Yoga nidra is a technique designed to effortlessly guide you into a state of complete "non-doing". Your body is completely relaxed and you can rest in a space where you may enter a state of expanded awareness and deep relaxation. It is a kind of horizontal meditation hovering on the threshold of sleep, giving you a conscious way to rest, leaving you nourished and restored at an incredibly deep level. Due to the type of brain waves experienced in nidra, it is said that a nidra may be equivalent to up to 4 hours of sleep. This restorative practice can be applied in many different ways, and in these sessions we explore its use for making positive change in our lives. Whatever you want to get out of it, this regenerative meditative state helps benefit both body and mind, restoring and nourishing, for greater mental and emotional balance and resilience.   Why not try it and find the magic...

You can attend a single session, or even better join our regulars who come to these monthly sessions for a fuller understanding and deepening practice. Yoga Nidra Workshop passes are available so you get three sessions for less.

Choose to join in the studio or live online - please check you are correctly booking either the studio workshop or the LIVE ONLINE session to get the Zoom link.
